Palace is an exclusive boutique for belly dancers
and lovers of everything Middle Eastern. Established in 1987 by
Amera Eid, Master Oriental Dance teacher and international exponent
of the ageless art of belly dance, it is the only place in Australia
and the Southern Hemisphere that you will find such a large selection
of authentic quality costumes and accessories.
Our purpose is to provide both students and professional dancers
with the best and most culturally appropriate costuming. Each
costume is personally selected by Amera and Sahara, and their
team of designers in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Kuwait. We do not
cut corners on quality. "If I wouldn't wear it, you won't
find it in this boutique," says Amera. "I want to see
professional dancers wearing professional costumes. The 'wow'
factor is an important part of the performance and is what appeals
most to the audience. Our Folkloric outfits are culturally accurate
with just the right amount of stage glamour."
Amera's Palace is a strong advocate for proper training in Middle
Eastern dance and promotes dance excellence for teachers and students
of the dance by sponsoring overseas teachers and training workshops.
